I dont know how to fix this but it has been like this for 5 month now because i havent spend my time trying to have a go at it.
If you want more info just ask Here is my DVD-RW drive spec
Sony DVD WR DW-U14A DVD RW + CD WR
writing speed DVD R times 4 DVD RW times 4 CD R times 24 CD RW times 16
And anothing ive have try updating the firmware And i have try burning it with different software Have you tried burning ONTO a quality branded disk? If not, try that. If you get the same error, then you probably have a faulty burner.Yeah man i try that
You maby wright the drive must be broke and has a faulty some where, but it can still read dics perfectly Well reading and writing are quite different operations, as you would imagine. I bet if you try another CD writer in this PC, you'll find that it works.
