Solve : Power Interrupt...now Pc won't turn on. Someone respond!!?

Answer»

Yesterday there was a 5 second power interupt during a thunder STORM, my PC was on. After power came back the PC was dead...is it a simple problem like the power supply or more serious? It was plugged in the surge PROTECTOR . Everything else woks, monitor, printer. Thanks Unplug it from the wall socket for a short time then plug it back in & try booting.
Your PSU may have latched out, if that fails swap out your PSU as a test. Some surge protectors have devices a bit like fuses which "die" to SAVE your equipment. They are called VDRs, voltage dependent resistors, and they can be destroyed during a surge caused by lightning strikes or power company switching. So try plugging in without the surge protector in the way if you have not already.

And Everything else was not plugged into the surge protector? If so, that's an indication the surge protector is BAD, and should be replaced. When surge protectors die they usually just stop working as a surge protector and revert to a normal electricity supply.
A little useless information for your viewing PLEASURE.
