Solve : power on - then turns itself off? |
|
Answer» I have a four-year old Gateway T6534 (standard run-of-mill computer). Upon power-on, the fans start, then the computer turns itself off within 1/2 second going into sleep mode with no further reaction. I exchanged the power pack with one from another Gateway, and tried the suspected pack on the good Gateway - it works fine, but same problem persists on the defective one with the good power pack installed. The BATTERIE shows 3 volt. The hard DISK from the defective one works fine on the good Gateway, but it was nearly full and I re-organised it on the good Gateway. Can anyone suggest how to bypass or remove this power-off interlock? I think it is something very SIMPLE, but can't find technical docs (e.g. wiring diagrams).
