I was using my computer, BLACK out, now no internet.

My computer will not recognise the router IM using windows vista x86 (32 bit)

Tried:
disabling and enabling
system restore (2 days before hand)
uninstalling controller (computer froze and i couldnt go ahead)
reverting back to aprevious driver
Updating a newer driver
restarting modem
checked all connections
Tried another computer (internet WORKS)

ANY IDEADS

THANKS FOR ANY HELP!Can you cable directly from the modem to your computer (bypass the router) to see if you can reach the Internet that way?try to reboot the router unplug it for about 30 seconds or so then plug it back in. You may have to set it up again cause this has happened to me and I had to set everything up again. It was mainly my wireless but you never know also try to do a REPAIR on your internet connection. I've had to do that too. it should work if not let me know. Quote

What are the details of this scenario ? ?patio: i tried to uninstall the two ethernet points and the computer stopped responding.

That eliminatd most things apart from drivers and a hardware failure.

I uninstalled all nvidea related items in add/remove and installed the stock drivers for my CHIPSET and video/sound drivers.

Re-installed had an error.

Did it all again and installed without my firewall on.

BINGO!

ITS WORKING NOW.
