Solve : Power supply for LCD monitor?

Answer»

I bought a MAG Innovision 17" LCD monitor at a garage sale. Of course it came with no cables. VGA cord was no problem, but I can't find the power supply it needs. It has a port labeled "DC in", looks like your basic 12v DC jack. Needs a 4 v. I can't find these anywhere! Best Buy, Radio Shack....am I just calling it something they don't understand? Am I the DUMMY, or are they? What all do I need to make my bargain monitor work?Go to the manufacturers website and order another cord.....I believe LCD monitors use proprietary connections so you can't use alternate sources of power

edit: try this

Or, find any old 12v and 5 amp power thing

lol       what's a "power thing"

edit: oh wait, did you mean a "watchamcallit" this

I know its DELL but its all I could findI thought lcd monitors all have different power connections, depending on the MANUFACTURER........I guess if the polarity of the power source is the same as on the lcd it would work........but wouldn't it have to fit too yes it would haveto fit and the monitor was a regular dc in
