Answer» My son's computer would not turn on tonight. I took it APART and after blowing all the bunnies out I PLUGGED it BACK in and the power supply fan comes on as long as p7 connector is not plugged in. Once P7 is plugged in the fan will start to come on (2 seconds max) and then shut down. Is this a power supply PROBLEM? It is a Dell dimension computer with a 200 WATT power supply. AGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Are you plugging and unplugging with the machine plugged into the wall?No I didn't want to risk frying anything. When I left the P7 unplugged and then plugged the machine in the fans would run but if I unplugged the machine from power and then unplugged P7 and then plugged power in it would start and then stop immediately.No. P2 & P9 are not being used.
