Solve : Power Supply Problems??

Answer»

Ive been having some problems with my computer, and was thinking the problem was an inadequate power supply.  I figured i should run it by you guys first, and see what u think before i go RUSHING out to buy a new power supply.

problems are:- USB ports shutting on/off periodically
-often doesnt boot the first start-up, takes 2 tries then it works
-dvd player plays movies choppy

I was wondering if it is indeed a power supply problem what Wattage would i NEED to run the following:
1.8ghz, dvd-rom, cd-r, 64 mb VIDEO card, soundblaster live 5.1 AUDIO card, floppy drive

thanks guys

Steve
A minimal wattage of 300-350 is recommended. 400 is more than adequate for most modern PCs.
