Answer» Ive been having some problems with my computer, and was thinking the problem was an inadequate power supply. I figured i should run it by you guys first, and see what u think before i go RUSHING out to buy a new power supply.
problems are:- USB ports shutting on/off periodically -often doesnt boot the first start-up, takes 2 tries then it works -dvd player plays movies choppy
I was wondering if it is indeed a power supply problem what Wattage would i NEED to run the following: 1.8ghz, dvd-rom, cd-r, 64 mb VIDEO card, soundblaster live 5.1 AUDIO card, floppy drive

Steve A minimal wattage of 300-350 is recommended. 400 is more than adequate for most modern PCs.
