Answer» I am not a expert on hardware, I never replaced a power SUPPLY or added a video card. I would like to add a 500 watt power supply and get a video card since current is integrated and not very good (as u can see below in SPECS). I would like to order the PS and Vid card online but I would like to know I am ordering right size PS and for 500 watts what video card can I get for my computer. Would appreciate any links to good computer parts online stores since never have ordered parts online. I would like to keep the total price under $175.00 and lower the better.
I should also point out I play WoW and would like to have a card that can support WoW. Does not need to to be max settings, as I would be happy to play raids on medium settings.
My computer is a E-Machine T1352G-03W specs:
CPU : AMD Athlon™ II X2 Dual-Core Processor 260u (1.8GHz | 2MB Total Cache) Operating System : Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit Chipset : NVIDIA® GeForce® 6150 SE Chipset Memory : 4096MB DDR3 Dual-Channel Memory Used Slots: 2 × 2048MB, | 2 Slots (Available) 4 DDR3 Slots (Total) - Expandable to 8GB Hard Drive4 : 640GB 7200rpm SATA
Here is a link to my computer if more info if needed: http://www.emachines.com/products/products.html?prod=ET1352G-03w
If you need to know any more info just ask. Here is a very good video card for the price: http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6798384&CatId=3585
Better video cards need more power, here is a good one: http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4362114&CatId=1483
Or for a cheaper PSU: http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3255393&CatId=1483
Good Luck.Thank you. My main concern is making sure I have the right parts that can fit my computer. Nothing worse than having ordered something online get it 3-7 days later only to ship it back and wait again. I just want to make sure I have the right sized PS that will fit my tower. Also have you ordered anything from compUSA.com?Yes, but I typically go to the store when they have what I need there. I checked your pc hardware details and the parts I linked to are compatable. PSU's are pretty much STANDARD size for any tower, with a few exceptions (yours isn't one). And PCIE is the connection for your gaphics card. Thank you very much. I will give you a UPDATE when I have installed psu and vid card. Hopefully will have no problems.
