Answer» If I build a page using CSS and XHTML, will it suffice to SIMPLY assign 210 mm to the width and 297 mm to the length to make print friendly or would that cause compatibility problems with some browsers? According to this Wikepedia page on Comparison of web browsers, IE and Firefox accounted for a little over 93% of market share in March 2007. The only other browser with significant market share was Safari. So, if you could test your PAGES on those three browsers, you will have covered about 97.5% of users. I'm sure it will work fine with IE and Firefox. I haven't used those other browsers but I'd bet those specific dimensions will work with them. And, if it doesn't work with Opera, Netscape, and Mozilla, is it worth changing your plan for the small percentage of users using those browsers?But is that a proper WAY to get a print friendly page without writing an additional CSS file?
