Solve : print spooler is not starting?

Answer»

My printer was previously working Fine; however, now I am unable to print to the printer.

I have performed the following tasks:

start->control panel->administrative tools->services->print spooler->stop->started->

But still printer services is not starting up .....I'm going crazy.

is there any thing else , so i can rectifield the same. Printer spooled only NEEDS to start when called I think; did you install PROPER printer drivers? Quote from: raj_1107 on April 18, 2007, 04:23:28 AM

Do you mean that Services does not show the Print Spooler as Started in the COMPONENT Services panel, even though you "started" it.

Is Startup Type set to Automatic?Need...more...info...gasp

Operating system / antivirus & antispyware protection / service PACKS installed / when did it start happening / did it ever work right / installed any new software?

ALAN <>< Have you been tweaking your services by any chance ? ?Earlier it was working fine, But i don't know how & why it is not working now,
OS is windows XP SP2, Antivirus is Officescan Trendmicro,
When i go in start>run>services.msc n start the spooler service and as soon as i tried to go in printer>Properties to add a tcp/ip port it sunddenly stops

Even i tried by manual Option instead of automatic Does your computer see the printer? If it doesn't, then it's probably not connected properly.
If it does see the printer, could be someone changed the settings or something.Re-installing the printer may be sort out problem.
