I took it in for service and they told me it couldn't be repaired it was too costly... buy a new one but sometimes it prints okay. I just put in a new cartridge and cleaned it but still the same ...the top half of the word does not print or it skips Anyone can help me???Why do you DOUBT the advice they gave you? Have they worked on more printers than you? If the ink jets are plugged you can have problems. Many Epsons install new print heads with each new cartidge, but not so with this model HP. If it is a mechanical problem, your advice was PROBABLY right also. I saw a printer the other day (unfortunately a Lexmark) that was "Buy the ink cartridge, get the printer free". What are you waiting for?
