Solve : Printer halts in between?

Answer»

While printing on a page, printer is tending to PAUSE for some duration and again printing some lines, again halting, again printing some lines, again halting and so on.

I have reset the printer head many times ( by pressing the button on the printer).

But still the problem remains.

What is causing this?
Hummmm .... It sounds like the print spooler is full for some reason and it prints whats there and then looks for more. How old is the printer ?

dl65 What is a spooler?

I bought it (canon pixma ip1000) on this year's february. This is about the printer spooler......
The most common spooling application is print spooling. In print spooling, documents are loaded into a buffer (usually an area on a disk), and then the printer pulls them off the buffer at its own rate. Because the documents are in a buffer where they can be accessed by the printer, the USER is free to perform other operations on the COMPUTER while the printing takes place in the background. Spooling also lets USERS place a number of print jobs in a queue instead of waiting for each one to finish before specifying the next one.

Try cleaning out the printers queue on the off chance there is other jobs still in there unprinted.
BTW , how long has this been acting like this ?
