Solve : Printer Spooler? |
|
Answer» Alright so something really frustrating is going on. try cleaning your resgistry using ccleaner, then install the driver again, restart. Didn't work. Quote from: Spero-T on September 12, 2007, 04:16:23 AM Can you try installing it again in safe mode with netwroking ! thanks I'm not entirely sure what you mean by this, but it doesn't work in safe mode either. I'm pretty sure re-installing my printer software and drivers is not going to help the situation, as I've done it maybe 5 times now in different situations.have you try my suggestion?the "ccleaner"? if still doesn't work by that way, just try it on a different computer..to make sure it in very - very good condition. I know it's my computer, it's not the printer. How about a clean install of windows xp?I figured it out! The problem was that I had somehow managed to delete the spoolss.dll file. I had a friend of MINE send me both their spoolss.dll and spoolsv.exe files to OVERWRITE mine and everything's fixed. So to anyone else out there, make sure you have both those files, and make sure they're not corrupt. Thanks guys.sfc /scannow would have replaced both of those automatically. Glad to hear you are fixed up...Quote from: patio on September 23, 2007, 08:25:02 AM sfc /scannow would have replaced both of those automatically. Funny you should say that, because I tried that with my XP CD and everything. Didn't fix my problem. |
