I had already refilled my canon ink cartridge(colored and black) but the printer STILL prompts that my ink is still low? I'm using a windows xp sp3, printer is canon pixma 258. I have tried reinstalling the cartridge a couple of times but still have the same error
A solution is very much appreciated..the ink jets have a CHIP that can not be reset by you. it will always say empty no matter how much ink you put in.Does this warning "prompts that my ink is still low" even THOUGH PRESENT still allow you to print with the printer? Generally Canons (and many other brands as well) will when an "out of ink" condition warning occurs will NOT permit any further printing. If you had this cartridge refilled at a commercial ink refilling station they should have "reset" the chip for you. If you did so yourself (my favored option) then you would have needed a chip re setter for that particular printer model. They are commercially available if you know where to find them. Another alternative is to buy CARTRIDGES that do NOT require resetting. These are also available. However neither of these products will be available from the printer manufacturer. truenorthThanks for the help...
