Solve : printer uses invisible ink!? |
|
Answer» OK My lexmark new, printer, uses invisible ink when I try to print! It does do a very nice test page, both color and B&W, and then when I really need a page printed, it goes ghost on me. Yes the ink cartidges are brand new, (i am not stupid, just inept.) Just give me a clue! You said it's a new printer. Is it still under warranty? If so, I suggest you contact Lexmark and explain your problem. Website: http://support.lexmark.com/ There a a few things that can cause this issue but i will need to confirm some things first. When you say ", it goes ghost on me." Does that mean that mechanically it does perform the actions as if it were printing something. The paper is drawn forward, the SOUND can be heard as if the printer was printing (the carriage moves), It ejects what should be a printed page at the end of the SEQUENCE. Does all that happen?truenorthExactly, how did you know! it acts just like it's printing, puts out a page, makes noise, and then expects me to read it too! I know I am missing some vital piece of information here! I CHECKED my glasses, too. QUOTE from: soybean on August 24, 2010, 10:06:12 AM You said its a new printer. Is it still under warranty? Ever heard the expression "belling the cat"? Can we not do something along those lines so we can hear this one coming. If the mention of "I dont use a lexmark printer." given the initial post. I was about to disappear down the rabbit hole of a heightened attempt at further assistance. truenorth Quote from: truenorth on August 24, 2010, 04:55:17 PM Ever heard the expression belling the cat?
