Solve : Problem Connecting Two SATA Drives?

Answer»

I have Asus: p5gc-mx7333 mother board. I am facing problem when I try to connect it with two sata drives (Either Harddisk-Harddisk or harddisk-dvd drive). PLEASE help me finding the solution ? My hard disk is Seagate's and DVD drive is LG's.

Thanks in advanceWhat are the problems you are having ? ?
Does each HDD have an OS installed ? ?
Is the optical drive SATA as WELL ? ?

So there are 3 drives involved...not 2 correct ? ?We'll need more information before we can understand your issue.

You MENTION "connect it with two sata drives (Either Harddisk-Harddisk or harddisk-dvd drive)" I don't understand how you are doing this with SATA drives....are you sure they are not EIDE?
If it is EIDE, your board only supports a maximum of 2 devices.

When connected with individual cables to the motherboard, are both drives visible in the BIOS?He stated SATA drives...

I understand what he said PATIO but thanks for the reminder (again).

I want to rule out the possibility of EIDE/SATA confusion, its very common, as any fix WOULD be different for either case."my sata port was crashed......"

Was it insured? Sorry couldn't resist! More info please.
