Solve : Problem recognizing RAM.?

Acer Aspire 5050.
Vista Home Basic.
AMD Turion(tm) 64 Mobile Technology MK-36 Model 12, STEPPING 2
ATI RADEON Xpress 1100

I had two 512s, I swapped them with two 2gb sticks.
But my system is only recognizing 2.5gbs.

I understand that my system will only recognize 3 to 3.5gbs.
is there any way I can get it to recognize the rest?

any help is appreciated.

How could I find out what Mboard I have? Cause I am not sure.
btw, I am running vista home basic.

-ChrisDLoad install and run Everest Home...it will tell you more than you NEED to know about what's in that machine...
