Solve : problem w/ old pc?

Answer» mga dude! can someone HELP me i have an old pc w/c is P3 500,w/ winme,10G hd,320Mb memory, the problem is im experiencing slowlessness when i use it... help plz...  Hi there, hope i can help. GET rid of WinME, it is by far the WORST of ALL Microsoft operating systems. Next, upgrade your hard drive. Your 10 gig is VERY slow as far as tranferring data as compared to the NEW ones. And upgrade to at least 512megs of Ram.

1. Get WinXP
2. Get new Hard drive (ANY new hard drive will be bigger and ALOT faster than the one you have now).
3. Upgrade your ram to 512mb.

To do this will cost you under $200 U.S. But will re-invigorate your Pentium III.

Also note you are now at the extreme low of the performance ladder with that processor, but if all you do is use it for web surfing and some office work, it should be adequate.

Also note, these are ALL upgrades you can do yourself VERY easily, quickly and with complete confidence. Cheers and good luck.Virus scanners
