Solve : Problem when connect external hard drive to PC?

I have external box include hard DRIVE ( NTFS) (convert IDE to USB) , and when I plus into that box to PC use SATA hard drive(in USB port) in green of Pc notify that have PROBLEM with hardware and I can not use that hard drive.  and when I connect the external box to PC have hard drive NTFS ,it working  
Please help the way to use the external box with PC use SATA hard drive
