Solve : Problem wih cd-room or windows...?

Answer»

Hi,
I have a serious PROBLEMS.

My cd-room doesn't want to read some cd.
For example, reading music cd, but when I put for example Linix Ubuntu cd, it's show like this cd is EMPTY.

Realy I want to rewrite my Windows XP, but when I put cd - it's show like empty cd, but when I put in laptop - it's ok.

I do DRIVER test:

Maybe some one have any idea?Do the have the latest updates for Windows installed? I have an old XP install disk (pre SP1) and it can't handle some blank CDS and all DVDs until it gets all the updates.

Try using a program like MagicISO or UltraISO to burn the disk instead.Put in a bootable cd (your OS for example) and reboot (make sure the cd is the first item in the BOOT order in your bios). Does the system recognize the disc at boot? If so, the problem is within the OS.Quote
