all of a sudden its starting to get really warm where the power CABLE is conected, it actually melted the power cable a bit.. and its weird because thats where most of the heat is comeing from. but only the red wire gets hot not the 2 black ones or the yellow. and it gets hotter faster when im playing games. i have installed the new DRIVERS and everything. any help WOULD be really greatIs the fan in the back working? At all? What type of computer is this?

What amazes me the most is that you play games on a PC with a pertially melted power cable. I would leave that off except for bare essentials (like posting here to get this fixed) and not use it until it gets fixed.



[edit]You have my apologies for the multi-post. CH crapped out for a minute. I KNOW it was just CH because other sites loaded fine. [/edit]haha no i fixed the cord but it gets REALLY hot still, and all fans are working. i continually have to turn off my computer to let the cord COOL down, i even borrowed my freinds extra power supply and tried that out with no luck.the computer was working great with absolutely no changes to it for close to a yearcan someone please help......It sounds like the card needs replacing.Melted power cable was my first hint.
