Answer» Hello,
I have a 3.5 floppy disk with ONE SINGLE file on it. I can put the disk into the A drive, and I can see the file sitting on the disk. When I attempt to open it, the disk drive sounds like it's grinding, and the file will not open. I have tried other disks on my drive which open fine. I have also tried this disk on an external hard drive, and it won't open.
Is there any WAY to retrieve the file from that disk? Thanks in ADVANCE for any assistance.
Tonyyour flopy driveis brokenand needs 2 B replaced I used Roadkil's UNSTOPPABLE Copier once to successfully read file from a balky floppy. Worked great (and free). I'm sure there are other programs out there.Thank you! I tried the program and it gave me back a couple of lines. I appreciate your help!
