Solve : problems with dvd-rw not writnig dvdrws? |

Answer» i'm having trouble with a SONY DW-U14A. it also used to not read certain types of dvds and cds, but i got that solved by upgrading the firmware. when i try erasing a dvdrw or writing one, i get a POWER calibration error, and i've tried both cheap and expensive media, no DIFFERENCE. any ideas?It's not still under warranty is it? It sounds like that DRIVE has a LOT of issues. Does it work OK with regular DVD's (not RW's)?Are all the drivers up to date?Windows has it's own drivers. No additional drivers are needed for these devices. You do need software to use the burning capability. |
