Answer» i CURRENTLY have an AMDK6/233 PROCESSOR and i know i cant upgrade to athlon 64. What is the best processor i can use on that same motherboard?Refer to your mainboard guide or AMD technical support.It depends on the motherboard. The fastest chip you could expect to work would be the K6-2/366. Both are Socket 7 and 66MHz BUS speeds. Not worth the upgrade, UNLESS you're positive your motherboard will support it. More MEMORY (>256MB) and a faster hard drive (7200 rpm) will make a much bigger difference. |
