Answer» My dell laptop has had processor failure twice in 3 week, the first time I got it fixed the guy put in a new chip. I am just wanting to know is it worth fixing it & if I get it fixed whats the chances it will do it again? My warranty has expired. I only bought my laptop in march 2011How do you know it's a processor failure? They are extremely rare - Chances of having one, let alone two are TINY! Take it to a different place and ask for them to diagnose it, SOUNDS like the first guy is dodgy. How does it look like when there is a CPU failure? Does the PC start, is there any picture oder SOMETHING like that? You would possibly get a beep code or may get nothing at all and just have fans run but nothing else happening.
