This, for sure. You will be disappointed if you buy a laptop for gaming. With that said, the difference between the chips is that the i5 is a faster dual core with hyperthreading, whereas the i7 is a SLOWER quad core, with hyperthreading and more cache. If you multitask often, and/or the games you play are multithreaded, the i7 should give better performance, otherwise the i5 should perform better.

This, for sure. You will be disappointed if you buy a laptop for gaming.
