Solve : processor socket converter?

Answer»

I have heard about processor socket converters where you can mount a cpu other than the one originally intended for the motherboard such as the "PowerLeap PL-P4/N" which was an adapter where you can mount a socket 478 processor on a socket 423.

I was wondering if any thing EXISTS to mount a socket 775 processor on a 478 socket. I got a INTEL 4 3.0Ghz HT 775 processor but I only have the 478 socket motherboard.

I cant currently afford a new motherboard and am looking for the cheaper alternative.

I think the ANSWER is "no".
