Answer» I currently have a intel Pentium 3(996MHz) prossesor INSTALLED i was wondering if i could upgrade my prossesor and how to tell if i can. your help is greatly apreciated!post your what type of motherboard your have &GT; make/ model if you know the cpu-socket, that would be useful too....Lol is there a way to check what motherboard i have i got this computer used no books with it.Should say on the motherboard itself, though the print MAY be tiny. Also, failing that, if the computer is prebuilt, a make/model and some RESEARCH should tell you what kind of motherboard it has.Else download and run CPU-Z. Once the program opens select "Mainboard". There you should be able to see the MANUFACTURER and model of your MB.
