Solve : PSU good enough??

Answer»

Hey guys, would this http://www.zumaxpower.com/products/zu500w.htm PSU be good enough with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812198016 to run a EVGA GTX 460 1GB? Thanks!no.
It is not a PSU but just a cable so I think it may lack the power you need ;-).

???Lol umm the FIRST link is the PSU I currently have and the cable is because I only have one 6 PIN PCI-E plug.Apologies... Must have clicked the same link twice....

It depends on what else you have in it and if you are only using 1.

Even with quite a low consumption CPU, and 1 hardrive you will find you will be being a bit marginal. Probably would say get a 600 Watt PSU and then you have some WIGGLE room for expansion later...Lols probably... I didn't think it was possible to run anything on just a cable . Just didn't want to spend more money on a new PSU until I fully upgrade my stuff later. Since I could get the GTX 460 1gb for 150.Quote from: Steven5210 on November 11, 2010, 12:27:52 AM

The PSU specified has "SUPPORT 6pin PCI-Express Connector", also has 2-20A rails of 12VDC. Seems adequate to me.
