Solve : PWR_FAN and CHA_FAN on Motherboard P5QL SE unavailable??

Answer»

So I want to add some case fans and I don't want it to connect directly to PSU but to the mobo so I can control fan speed with software than having to buy a fan controller. However, when I looked on my mobo, I couldn't FIND fan pins (3 pin or 4 pin) at first until I realised that there were no pins at all. SURE there are 3 holes for a 3 pin fan but there are no 'pins' if you get what I mean. Both are soldered shut. Why??? I looked for pictures online in case my mobo had been tampered but they all showed the same thing. There is only a CPU_FAN which does have 4 pins for my cpu fan lol but that is it.

Thanksthats because the model of mobo MUST not support a fan there
you maybe able to get a fan controler card but i dont know
because i have never installed a fanbut it says on the asus website that it does support 1 POWER fan and 1 chassis fanare you sure you are looking in the CORRECT place at the correct model?
somone else with come along with more experence in fans100% sure so i am quite miffed...
