Answer» I have a Pentium D dual-core processor, and this is what the entry comes up as on DXDIAG:
Code: [Select] Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz (2 CPUs) I've been READING around a LITTLE, but I couldn't really find a straight answer:
Does this mean it has two cores running at 2.8 GHz each, or two cores running at a combined total of 2.8GHz? Thanks.Very strict TECHNICALITIES aside, 2.8HGz dual core processor will perform operations pretty close to the speed of single core 5.6GHz processor.
