I'm interested in getting a TV tuner card for my pc, but I'm wondering how they work. Once INSTALLED, do I connect my cable coax line directly to it and that's it? I'm really hoping it's that simple. It depends on what card you get and if your cable is analog or digital, but that just determines where you plug in your cable. I have a ATI 650 Pro PCI-express card, it just came out a few MONTHS ago. The main reason I bout it was because of its PCI-e 1x and because it was very thin. The card I had before the capacitors would hit the back of my video card’s COOLER. If you do get the ATI do not use the software that came with it (Catalysis media Center), it could not find any channels. So instead, I bought SnapSteam Media’s Beyond TV 4, because I have XP Pro, and it picked up all of my channels in the first go. In addition, if they still are doing it, you get a free remote when you buy it.
