Answer» Does a DSL (MODEM) connect by RJ-45 to a serial port? I KNOW where it connects but in my A+ class I was told that a DSL doesn't connect to a serial port. However RJ standards are serial? I'm confused. Help, anybody!The serial port you are THINKING about is RS-232, it is 9-pin D-submin or sometimes 25-pin D-submin. RJ-45 is ethernet which is also serial. USB is also serial. I have never heard of using the serial port to connect a modemIn the old days, that was the only way to connect a modem...
