Solve : Quick question, please read...?

Answer»

I have a computer that I just put together. I have everything put into the case except for a processor.

Here's the question...

With the POWER plugged in, and the monitor hooked up, I turn the computer on. Should I see anything on the screen (such as POST), or a blank screen and the monitor LIGHT just keep blinking?

It's BASICALLY an identical computer to the other one I had... different case and motherboard, that's it. The video (AGP) went out and the video card tested fine in anther computer.

I transfered it all out into another case and new motherboard, hooked everything up, plugged it in, and turned it on expecting to see POST run... but I get nothing but a blank screen and the blinking monitor power light. Keep in mind there is no CPU in it. But I'm still thinking POST should run or am I wrong? Everything SEEM fine?it needs the CPU....Ok great... that's good news to me. Was just making sure the same problem did not still exist.my uncle Ricky managed to LIVE 57 years without a brain.
