Alright, so basically, my boyfriend and I got in a fight, and he ripped my laptop in half, as in, the screen is completely DISCONNECTED from the bottom part.
I plugged his desktop monitor into it, and it worked fine, but my laptop no longer could pick up any wireless signal, or if it did, the signal was so weak I was unable to connect.
I took it apart, and tried to fix everything, but now the monitor won't work at all.
Any clue? The antennas are located in the monitor on a lot of laptops... you will need to have an external USB WiFi adapter if you ever want wireless on your laptop, short of FIXING the screen. What model is your laptop?

It can be random and very unpredictable. It is often NOT confined to computer issues but can become a factor of a destructive nature in almost any life experience where interaction occurs. While you are researching your next computer that will probably be required to replace your damaged one it is probably advisable that you also consider a replacement for the "boyfriend" as well. As far as the no display on the monitor goes, are you sure everything was put back correctly when you disassembled the system. Does the system appear to boot even with no display (Hard drive LED activity, start up sound .etc) or does it just sit doing nothing? Finally does it produce any beeps or PATTERN of leds when it is powered on (This could help pinpoint the culprit).Dump the boyfriend. He is a dork.
