Solve : RAM at wrong speed in Windows, but OK in BIOS?

Answer»

hello... yeah, i guess this old comp has all the wrong speed stuff in it.

the RAM i got for this Desktop, which the BIOS correctly identified, is at 400MHz.

but when i use CPU-Z, it tells me the speed is only at 200MHz.

why? is this the program's fault, or is some setting screwy?

the other one's about CPU. this one's about memory... i THOUGHT ppl'd wanna concentrate on one THING at a time.

but im sorry if it causes any confusion,DDR-400 (PC-3200) memory operates at speed of 200MHz. Data transfer rate is 400MHz.
DDR=Double Data Rate; 200 *2 = 400Quote from: Computer_Commando on November 11, 2009, 11:43:10 AM
