Solve : ram compatibility in hp pavillion core 2 duo?

Answer» my laptop specification :
MODEL: hp pavilion dv6 1319tx
processor: Intel(R) core(TM) 2 duo T6600 2.20GHz
bios: HP Version F.42 03/23/2010
windows 8.1 64 bit

Now in this laptop, somehow i`m left with single 2GB ddr3 (the other memory slot is vacant) samsung ram with following specification:
M471B5673EH1-CH9 CNF 2GB 204p PC3-10600 CL9 16c 128x8 DDR3-1333 2Rx8 1.5V SODIMM NOB, Samsung

To increase the speed i bought 4GB ddr3 1333MHz kingston ram with  following specification:
Kingston ValueRAM DDR3 4 GB Laptop DRAM (KVR1333D3S9/ KVR13S9S8/4)
    DDR3-1333/PC3-10600
    SO-DIMM Memory Module
    204-pin CONFIGURATION
    9-9-9 CAS Latency

Unfortunately when i inserted the new 4gb ram along with 2 gb ram and pressed power button, the laptop turned on but the display was gone. Then i tried swapping the two......, then i took out 2gb ram allowing only 4gb to remain, .........then changed the slot....likewise all possible combinations but only to my regret none worked except when old 2gb sits solely on the motherboard. The new ram seems to be fine.

Please tell me whether there is any compatibility issue between the rams or between the motherboard/cpu/ram because the old 2gb had 8 chips in two rows on it but the new 4gb had only 4 chips in one row. images attached
please tell me why it doesn't work and if i need different ram for the cpu.... what specifications should i check for.
i searched all over the internet about this issue but couldn't UNDERSTAND...plz help

[attachment deleted by admin to conserve space]Travel to Crucial.com and run the online scan with the 2G in...it'll tell you exactly which RAM to buy...
Also it'll tell you what capacity RAM it'll take as i think it's the issue...Found your specs here.... I'd say that the 2 sticks just dont play well together. It happens from time to time. You could go with 2 x 4GB in this system of matched RAM and that would bring you to the max of 8GB or else run on 4GB.

if single 4gb is not working then how can two 4gb memory workSorry misread what you typed earlier. I thought it was the fact that you could use the 2GB or the 4GB, but not both together.

Your FSB is rated at 1066Mhz yet your 4GB stick is a 1333Mhz. Its possible that this stick doesn't want to downclock to 1066 and is for 1333 only.

Processor type:Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T6600,2.20 GHz, 2 MB L2 Cache, 800 MHz FSB
Memory:4GB DDR3 1066 MHz,Supports up to 8 GB DDR3 memory
HARD Disk:SATA Hard Disk Drive 500 GB 7200 rpm

I'd return the 4GB stick and get a 1066Mhz Stick. Some 1333 sticks will run at the lower speed and others are picky. Sorry again for reading this incorrectly earlier. A stick such as the following should work as an exact FSB match. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233080
