The RAM I wish to install has the numbers 3200 in the title. I was just wondering, what is it for and how do I figure out what my current computers RAM "number" is?Hi Joe welcome* start with this ...............

Go to here and DOWNLOAD this free program and it will tell you what type Ram you have.....

after you install this, click on the computer icon and it will display what you have inside your computer....
Thanks! It seems like that program you SUGGESTED gave me all the answers I needed. I will WORK. Thanks! You can go to www.crucial.com and see what is in there and what exactly you need. Some computers can not use 1 gig. sticks, but qas we don't know the computer or motherboard make model, we can't advise further. Some manufacturers are very specific what will and won't work.
So what is the hardware involved?
