Answer» I have a two questions:
1. How do i tell which type of ram i have in my computer? 2. How do i tell how much ram i can have installed on this computer?
Your help is greatly aprieciated! You can see both the type and amount with CPU-Z.
You can also see the amount of ram in you machine by doing the following: RIGHT click My Computer, select properties, select general. In the bottom of the windows is the CPU speed and amount of ram listed.Just to ADD to the above advice . . . if you're looking to upgrade, use the Crucial tool at crucial.com to find out what you need, then either buy it from them or shop around (usually cheaper elsewhere but Crucial are a good brand). My question for Deerpark how can we KNOW which type of RAM whiout opening case(cabinate). Is this possible. If yes then reply soon.CPU-Z will identify it, as will the Crucial tool I mentioned. You don't need to OPEN the case. How can WE INDENTIFY the type of RAM. I mean to say can we indentify the RAM is DDR/DDR2/DDR3/SD/etc...... This is my question.Like Calum said either download and run CPU-Z or use the system scanner at Crucial. Both of these tools will tell you the type of ram installed in the machine.Sorry Calum & Deerpark because I don't know the CPU -Z is a program. So, that is my mistake. Thanks Derpark fro write to download CPU -Z. so, I knew that it is a program.
Ya it is helpful to me. Thank you so much. It will help me much more & so on no words for it.
Once again sorry calum.Pls forgive me. No problem, at least you got what you wanted now.Thank you Calum. yes I got that is very useful for me. Thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much.
