Solve : RAM Not Detected?

Answer»

I'm currently RUNNING windows xp and I've noticed something about my ram. My computer comes with 256 megs of ram but when I check on it using a RAM usage moniter it says that I have 192 (or something like that). I know I have 256 because i've checked in side my pc and it on the ram unit it says 256 mb. Someone help please. I would like to free up that ram!thats normal..... you can't free it up because its being utilized.....

If you were to add a 512M STICK of RAM to that machine; XP, your machine and you would be much happier...QUOTE from: honvetops on August 22, 2007, 01:46:12 PM

...by the on-board video card.

Alan <>< never mind... found the problem...Great...CARE to elaborate a little ? ? ?turns out I looked at the ram wrong (it aculy was supposed to be 192 megs... )I don't believe they ever MADE 192MG sticks of RAM/Weird... oh well... 256MG of RAM - 64MG being used by the video = 192MG of RAM.Nah , Patio was being sarcastic, you don't know what your talking about... when your ready... he'll explain*
