Answer» 1. I'm running Windows XP on a Pentium 4 with 512 RAM. I'm using NVidia GeForce 6200 with up to date drivers. One of my high end games requires 512 RAM and runs SLOWLY (MedTotal WAr2). Would another stick of memory help with performance? 2. If yes, is the install simply a matter of plugging into an empty slot and rebooting, or is it more involved? Thank you! -WadeMore RAM would help, but your graphics card is the limiting FACTOR here. The 6200 is a very low end card - if you're a gamer, upgrade. Check the GPU FAQ for more info on current graphics cards. Installing RAM is just as you describe - just take care and observe ESD precautions INSIDE the case. One more thing - get the right RAM too.
