Solve : RAM upgrading issues? |
|
Answer» I have an MTI P45 NEO 3 motherboard with 4 DIMM slots. I currently have 4GB of RAM in 2GB increments in slots 1 and 3. I'm using PATRIOT Viper Series DDR2 PC2-8500 1066MHz. When I built this computer the original 4 worked fine but when I bought 4 more GB of the exact same RAM and inserted them the computer wouldn't boot. I'm running Vista x64. Any help would be great!Any error beeps? Have your components checked to see if all are seated well.. It works better if you use slots 1 and 2 instead of 1 and 3. I upgraded my parent's computer and the Slots 1 and 3 failed. I fixed it with slots 1 and 2. This may be on all Intel Chipsets Depends on the MBoard....but we don't know that yet. |
