Answer» You need to ADJUST your screen resolution to what the LCD 's native resolution is. And the color is really BAD like a bad pantingI assume you mean painting rather than panting? Sounds like it's SET to 16-bit colour or lower to me . . . right click the desktop and choose properties. Then go to Settings, and under colour quality choose 32-bit if it's not already selected.I wonder whether he may even have a 256 color or lower SETTING. 16-bit colour looks no different to most users than 24-bit or 32-bit. But, I agree he needs to take a look at his setting. He also needs to check the resolution setting, as GX1_MAN said.I notice a difference from 16 to 32 bit, although only limited, it's not as bad as this seems to be. It may be set lower. The reason I didn't say that is because I thought there were lower settings, but I wasn't sure, and my graphics card only has 16 and 32 bit modes, so I just posted what I could see. This setting may not even be the right one, it's just what it sounded like to me, rather than resolution as I've never seen this affecting colour. Of course, I could be barking up the wrong tree, which isn't uncommon. My main computer also only shows 16-bit and 32-bit. But, I have an old Pentium with a 32MB PCI video card that shows 16 colors, 256 colors, High Color (16 bit) and True Color (32 bit). That 16 color setting really yields some ugly viewing.Ah, so it's to do with older hardware. I thought as much. 16 colour . . . wow. I can imagine how bad that must look. Imagine trying to play Doom 3 or something . . . even if it could run . . . |
