Answer» I want to compare two program versions ie program.exe /v OUTPUTS SOMETHING like 4.2 if it is less than another version ie program.exe /v returns 4.4 then I want to copy the newer FILE over the OLDER one. How in a batch file can I read in the output from a command executed in the batch file? Cheers.What Windows version are you running? or is this a MS-DOS machine? Batch language is version dependent.
