Solve : Reading slave hard drive problem?

Answer»

Actually - although I can find all my documents I cannot find any of my emails. I was using Outlook and then changed to Thunderbird which, as I remember, I imported all of my mail into. I have searched the whole drive for .MSF file extension and got nothing relevant. I have searched for .PST file extension and got nothing relevant. Mail folders are supposed to be in C:Documents and Settings[User NAME]Application Data ThunderbirdProfiles and Outlook in a similar place but there is no such file path??
I have also noticed that the drive is showing as 37.2GB (16.3 used & 20.9 free) when its a 40GB drive, does formating take up that much space?
Anyone got any suggestions why I cannot find anything from email?

Are you saying the Thunderbird profile is completely missing ? ?I have not been able to find any email files for either T'bird or outlook I have searched for MBX, PST, MSF, DBX, EML files and found nothing relevant. I did not have any problem with my email previously. I have changed the file & folder option to include hidden files but it made no difference.

On my laptop (different COMPUTER) running on VISTA and I cant find any outlook files on there either. I can follow the file path as far as 'Application Data' and then 'access is denied'
