Answer» I would like to reformat my HD but am having trouble getting my computer to boot from my Windows XP CD. On Startup I press F11 and GET into a blue screen that says "Select First Boot DEVICE" I navigate down from Floppy to the selection CD/DVD but there is no option to confirm my new selection. The only choices are: [Up/Dn] Select [RETURN] Boot [ESC] cancel. When I press [RETURN] the computer simply returns to the standard boot sequence and Windows comes on. If I press [ESC] then the entire operation is cancelled and the computer again returns to the standard boot sequence. I have a custom made computer: American Megatrends 7/10/2002, Amibios(c) 2001, AMD XP 1900, 1.6GHZ with 1MB RAM. Thank you for any help you can provide. In most BIOS's the key you want is NORMALLY F10 to "save changes and Exit"... It should say this at the bottom of the screen.
NOTE the machine will automatically re-boot with the changes intact.
