Answer» I have a U160 RAID controller and a PAIR of 68pin SCSI drives laying around that I was thinking of installing in my computer. The idea is to replace my IDE Hard drive with the SCSI drives and set up a mirrored partition. The drives are 18GB so they'd only be good for my Windows but here's what I'm thinking: 1. 10K drives will certainly improve OS PERFORMANCE, right? 2. Will the RAID 1 slow down any improvements I might notice from adding the 10K drives? 3. Is U160 fast? 4. How do I terminate the SCSI connection on the RAID CARD that will be outside of the PC? If so it's better than a 133MB/s IDE but slower than a 300MB/s SATA-II. 4. Disable it in DEVICE Manager? If it comes up there.
