Solve : reset motherboard by removing battery/jumper?? |
|
Answer» can i reset it by only remove CMOS battery for a while? Your post isnt clear. But removeing the jumper will clear out any password on the BIOS an removing the battery will set the BIOS to its default settings. Depends on the model. You're jumping to conclusions, Squall. Full HARDWARE specs? Especially motherboard model. What exactly is the problem that you think you need to reset the CMOS? More info please.Sorry just answering the question, thats what they asked.i just want to know what is the difference. I just want experiment it,what would happend. because according to spec, it ASK me to remove battery 1st,then reset jumper to clear CMOS settings. but i just remove jumper, and it also done,CMOS reset. As with a lot of things there is more than one way to do things.... Both will do the same thing.Dear Friend, The change of the position of the jumper will make the BIOS of the mainboard restore to its setting of production. |
