Answer» I have an old 27 gig hard drive that I use to test donated systems with. I have an old 27 gig hard drive that I use to test donated systems with. Once the SMART warning comes up, the DISK has only a very limited operating time left. Even a working 27 GB hard drive has a cash value somewhere south of that of a Big MAC and fries. How can you "test" a computer meaningfully with a bad HDD? Get a better drive from the next donated machine. Or test them with a CD. Though I've not heard of a program that does the remapping, since it is something that is INVISIBLE to the software side of things.Remapping of a hard drive is easy with the software that is included on your "ultimate boot disk". When the disk boots,go to hdd, then to diagnosis ,the last item on the list is "ViVARD VO.4". It will ALLOW you to do several useful things |
