Solve : risks of disk partitioning?

Answer»

i was just WONDERING if ther are any risks in DISK partitioning? can anyone help plzzNo risks whatsoever, other than the PROCESS of creating partitions if the drive already contains data. If so, you just need to make sure you follow instructions and proceed slowly. Always create a backup of your data before PERFORMING ANY drive level operation.
Depends what type of partitioning operation you are thinking of. There is no risk in partitioning a new or blank disk. However if you are attempting to shrink an existing partition to make room for a new one, there is a risk of lost data if you don't back it up somewhere first and something goes WRONG.
